Congrats on your win, well deserved....In: No Place Like Home Artist Group Logo contest .......AWESOME Image....
Nancy Spirakus replied:
Thank you! Even for severe Cleveland weather, this was a very unusual thing. The lighthouse was iced over for nearly two weeks! The ice was really thick.

Nancy, I'm voting for this photograph because it's a rare photo and I am interested to find out how it can be immortalized. I hope we keep in touch!
Nancy Spirakus replied:
Thank you for the comment! I took a lot of photos and some shaky video of the lighthouse when this happened. I made my own video of my photos on Youtube when it happened, to show my friends and family. That's how I was found to be on the Weather Channel, a very nice producer saw my video.
Nancy Spirakus replied:
I took this photo with a video camera, that also could take still photos. The video camera stills only are 2 megapixels or less, but the zoom on the video camera was fantastic. It's an early camera, it was one with mini dvds.

Wow! This is an amazing capture! At first glance, I thought it was a sand castle! It is awesome! Congratulations on having it shown on an episode of "Strangest Weather on Earth" in 2013!

Thank you! I live here in Cleveland, and I woke up one morning to this on the national news. I thought,"I need to try and take a photo of that, for sure!" I never imagined my photos would be seen worldwide. It inspires me to keep trying!
